The Argyll Community Rowing Association was formed on the 21st February 2011 in Lochgilphead. People from 15 communities in Argyll   have so far expressed an interest in getting involved along with over 100 hints of interest from pupils at Lochgilphead High School – things are looking good.  We are very grateful to Ian Clark from Royal West in Greenock and the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association for coming along to share their experience of coastal rowing.

The newly formed management committee is charged with finding funding for the first two boats to be built before the end of summer before embarking on school ‘build and row’ projects.

A huge thanks to all those who turned out to get things underway.  All input and suggestions about funding and making things happen welcomed. In the meatime – watch this space….
